如果有人問在1982年Michael Jackson "Thriller"專輯前，全世界最暢銷的唱片是哪一張，Fleetwood Mac的"Rumours"(謠言)是比較公認的答案。這一張1977年發行的專輯，在當年踢下了The Eagles的超級專輯"Hotel California"(8週冠軍)，打垮了Paul McCartney(The Beatles的靈魂人物)，Stevie Wonder等同年推出的作品，在當年Billboard專輯榜上蟬連31週冠軍，銷售量在美國賣出19白金、英國10白金，全世界共賣出4000萬張以上，是至今唱片史上總銷量第8名的唱片，專輯中推出4首單曲，"Dreams"(冠軍曲),"Go your own way", "Don't Stop", "You Make Loving Fun"都在美國排行榜上取得Top 10成績，Fleetwood Mac也從此登上有史以來最受歡迎團體之一。在錄製"Rumours"前，Christine 和John McVie 及 Lindsey Buckingham和 Stevie Nicks各是兩對愛侶，可是在錄製"Rumours"前卻都分手了，錄音室外緊張的關係卻也對新作品帶來了意想不到的張力，"Rumour"的超級成功也讓這個創作團隊登上事業高峰。

一直以來都很喜歡Dreams這首歌，簡單的伴奏，伴隨著Stevie Nicks帶點庸懶的歌聲，讓人聽起來舒服。歌詞很簡單，非常適合失戀心情的人們聆聽，尤其是副歌Thunder only happens when it's raining.(就像是只有將要下雨時才會打雷) Players only love you when they're playing.(玩家們只在玩弄你時才會愛你) Say... women... they will come and they will go.(女人啊她們來來去去的) When the rain washes you clean... you'll know.(當雨水將你淋濕時你就會明白的)直接而切入人心的歌詞，搭配Nicks的歌聲，不但不會讓人感覺刺耳，相反的卻能撫慰人心，這首歌也是很少數我的收藏中，老婆Emily也喜歡的曲子。
