For Yasgur's Farm,"Climbing", Mountain,  1969

        Mountain，成立於1969年，全盛時期成員Leslie West(吉他手，主唱)、Felix Pappalardi(貝斯，主唱)、Steve Knight(Keyboard)、Corky Laing(Drums)，成立沒有多久便有機會恭逢其盛於Woodstock表演，當時為了演唱會而寫了一支未命名的曲子，獻給演唱會(當時農場主人Yasgur大方出租場地，Woodstock音樂會才得以有機會舉辦，而從此Yasgur's Farm也成為Wookstock的代名詞)，1970年於專輯"Climbing"中發表，是一首紀念Woodstock音樂會的經典作品。Mountain是個短命的團體(全盛期約為1969~1976)，卻也是美國重搖滾樂界最早期也是影響最深遠的團體之一。Leslie West也是美國最偉大的吉他手之一，具有深厚的古典吉他和爵士樂訓練的技巧，流暢而隨性的表演風格影響了無數後進的吉它手。

         1969年美國，在鄉下小鎮Bethel，Max Yasgur的農場, 400000人，一段愛、迷幻藥及搖滾樂的woodstock故事就此展開。相信有關Woodstock音樂節(Woodstock music and art fair)的故事，許多人都朗朗上口，隨便Google一下就可以找到上萬筆資料，在此不再贅述，我相信當時的盛況、震撼及感動都有其歷史背景，雖然Woodstock對老美意義重大，但是要老美現在重新再辦一次盛會，將也無法讓人再拾起當年的相同感覺，因為那年代是如此美好，但是那年代已然逝去─這句是抄魔戒的。
